Personality: Braelyn is a social woman, but because she needs to be, not because she wishes it so. She is actually quite introverted, but her upbringing has cast her into the public eye at a young age. Naturally, she is quiet and doesn't speak without thinking. However, social necessity has taught her to be outspoken and enjoy the limelight just like everyone else. There's an air of snobbery that surrounds her, and she uses it as a personal defense. It is much easier to say she's superior to everyone else than to try and get them to like her. Growing up, she had hard time making and keeping friends -- she therefore is needy around those she's close to. She still hates meeting new people, and often feels anxious when not surrounded by her close friends. Bee is literally unable to function without a pack of friends behind her, and she absolutely hates to do anything alone. Similarly, she loathes the idea that she is imcompetent, and is actually quite handy when it comes to household chores. Though not stupid, she never had the most spectacular grades, and assumes her wealth will take care of whatever future she may wish to pursue.
Braelyn is a result of her environment. A sweet girl by nature has become a rather manipulative young woman with a rather vile temprement.
Ability: Since the plane crash, Braelyn has been able to hear the voices of the deceased. That is, she has psychic abilites. Eventually she will be able to tune them out, but until then around mass deaths their voices sometimes cloud her own reasoning. She had been known to mimick the the thoughts and emotions of the dead, which might be considered posession. Bee's control over the power is severely limited -- when there are too many voices she simply runs away from the area and hopes that the noise goes away.
Before the crash, she would sometimes "sense" ghosts or spirits around her, but has always been too afraid to make contact through a professional psychic or any other tools.
History: Braelyn Nicole Montgomery-Massarotti was born to an Italian father and British mother in Bournemouth, England. She was the only child, and grew up spoiled in a rich household. Her parents never denied her anything in hopes that she would never want anything. Unfortunately, their spoiling her helped to develop a temper and stubborness that neither of them predicted. Countless nannies quit after taking care of their daughter, and she quickly learned how to manipulate others to do her bidding.
When she was old enough to attend school, she went to a private school under the Church of England and was miserable. Luckily, after a few years her parents decided to move to LA in an effort to revive the family business. Their plan succeeded, and Bee was possibly the wealthiest Catholic schoolgirl in the entire seventh grade. By the time she had arrived at middle school, the sadistic little girl knew more about children than they did. She thought herself apart from them, and was always told by her parents how much better she was. Braelyn used that arrogance to her advantage and was soon manipulating boys and girls of all ages.
Highschool was when she began to face the facts that she would have to get some real friends, not just the girls in her possey. So, Bee set out in search for those "real" friends, who were actually quite difficult to come by. Luckily, she met a pretty blonde girl her age who taught her to be a bit nicer. Their friendship was usually an arguement waiting to happen, but they stuck together throughout high school. Sex, drugs, and alcohol consumed their lives because Daddy's credit card never maxed. Braelyn became a functioning bulimic her sophomore year, and since then booze has been her main nutrient. That isn't to say she's an alcoholic or unnaturally thin, however. Her unhealthy habits have mostly waned due to the steady stream of boyfriends that have infiltrated her life. There's no time to puke in the bathroom when you've got two hours to get ready for a date.
She graduated high school and was ready to start college in the fall when her friends all decided to go on a trip to Australia as a graduation present. Naturally, it wasn't as grand as London or as romantic as Paris, but it was still a trip with her closest friends.
