Paradise- Sanctuary -Prison
After the Third world war, Humanity began to change; the after effects of nuclear war began to change the children who were born, affecting one in a thousand. These children were born to be different, Gifted and Hindered in a way Humanity had only ever dreamt about. But these children soon lost their novelty – soon lost their appeal. They became feared, Ridiculed, Despised – and finally, disposed off.
Of course, Not all were culled, and those few that did survive to adulthood were lesser citizens. They say history repeats itself, and like 300 hundred years before Humanity was hit by segregation, between the humans and the freaks – the gifted. Coloured bands marked you out from the crowd, and in turn coloured bands meant that you were in constant Danger.
Two people, one gifted, the other human, chose to stand against this. They fell in love, but under the punishment of death the fled to an island that soon became a sanctuary for all the gifted. But, as a New Government became more controlling, the Sanctuary soon became nothing more than Prison.
This is where your story begins – at the school that has been set up on the island, you must struggle with the knowledge that the outside world hates everything that you are, that you are imprisoned upon an island like no other.
And on top of that, typical teenage problems.
