The Story So Far . . .
[/font][/size] In the beginning initially with the Winchester brothers, Sam and Dean, searching for their father throughout most of season one. Once they found him, it all changed it became about killing Azazel.
The yellow-eyed demon responsible for the death of their mother 23 years ago. When Azazel killed Mary Winchester, he also infected the infant Sam with demon blood, which allow Sam to manifest powerful psychic gifts as an adult. Azazel is killed in the season finale, but not until after his plans are completed and a door to Hell is opened, although only momentarily, releasing a horde of demons into the world.
This event also sees the death of Sam, who is subsequently resurrected by Dean selling his soul at the end of Season Two. Although she had been away for almost 10 years Melinda Winchester, Sam's big sister and Dean's baby sister returns after hearing of the deal Dean made to save Sam. Whatever happens they're just trying to find an exit strategy
