The earth revolved around our teenage angst.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" Emma shrieked. "I'm not stupid! I know about you and Jason!"
"Well that makes one of us, because I don't know what the hell you're on about!" Evangeline yelled back, matching her sister decibel for decibel.
"Just admit it! Lizzy told me you made out with him!"
Evangeline pulled a face of disgust. "I don't care about your stupid little boyfriend, Emma! I never touched him."
"Lizzy wouldn't lie to me you slut-"
Evangeline struck out, slapping Emma hard. With an enraged howl, Emma struck back, giving as good as she got. The girls grappled for a long moment, a tangle of fierce hair-pulling and scratches. When their aunt entered the room, and demanded to know what was going on, Emma yanked herself out of the fray, breathing hard. She turned and ran up the stairs toward her room, yelling behind her, "I hate you! I hate your guts!" before slamming her bedroom door.
