Personality: Matthew mostly keeps to himself, though his intelligence tends to overpower that of those around him. He's generally very friendly, abeit sarcastic, and is often with company. If you ever get to break his shell and dodge his sarcastic bullets of wonder, you may end up seeing the genuinely wonderful side of him, which is a loud, funny guy. Matthew enjoys reading, poking fun at people, and the occasioal, casual jog. He dislikes being in front of a large group of people at the center of attention, and being the butt end of a joke. (Obviously, he's a bit of a hypocrite.) Matthew has always wanted to prove himself beyond what he has already done, and is always searching farther. He, mostly, fears death, though he was raised religiously.

History: Matthew was born in County Mayo, Ireland, on April 18. His parents were natives to the country, and his ancestors have never been traced out of Ireland. Matthew is the middle of two siblings: and older brother, named Aero, and a younger sister, named Màirèad. He was generally regarded as the smartest of the bunch, with his brother being the athlete, and his sister being the star child for just being the female.
After saving money for several years, Matthew's parents surprised their children with a vacation 'round the world, to try and visit all seven continents in the matter of a few weeks. They mapped their vacation to hit every "hot spot" on each continent: Europe was covered, Asia would be some Indian city, Africa would be a "safari adventure", Australia would be Sydney, South America would be a Brazilian city, and America would be Los Angeles: the last and final stop. One they would all be looking forward to.
Other: Matthew was the only in his family to be seated no where near anyone else, several rows ahead. They were split during the crash, and he suspects them all for dead.
