Personality: Olivia is actually quite a complex character, though it may not be all that obvious at first. For one, she is extremely outgoing, then again, in order to be a successful scrub in nurse, you kind of have to be able to work well with others. Most people who know her know her to be an extremely calm and reasonably optimistic person, She has a way of keeping a cool and collected head in the face a trouble, at least when she’s around the general public. She has an knack for making talking to people. One of her biggest problems as a nurse was getting overly attached to patients.
Make no mistake, while Olivia does come off as a peaceful and nurturing person, she is by no means a push over. She is a hell of a lot stronger than most people give her credit for, including herself. She is the type of woman who always seems to put the well being of others in front of herself, and won’t hesitate to risk her life and health to make sure people, especially the ones she cares about, are safe.
She also has a habit of being extremely outspoken. No, this woman is by no means meek and quiet. If she has an opinion about something, she’s definitely the type to voice it, one way or another. While she isn’t stupid enough to throw tantrums or start fights, she will make sure she’s heard. This goes hand in hand with the fact that she can be quite stubborn, and will rarely do something she is fundamentally opposed to, just because she’s told.
Ability: She has the ability to heal other people, by simply touching them, and concentrating. This power takes a while to trigger, but once it does, it can usually heal, most physical injuries.
History: Born off the beach, just outside of San Francisco, Olivia Montgomery lead a pretty normal life. Her mother worked as a Kindergarten teacher, while her father, a retired marine, took up a job as an FBI agent. Her relationship with her parents was actually a pretty healthy one. While her father admittedly was hoping for a boy, he didn’t let the fact that he had a beautiful little girl instead deter from the his bond. Unfortunately, his job required a lot of travel, so the relationship he did manage to build with his daughter was squeezed in 2 to three week bouts ever month and a half. The real relationship Olivia had was with her mother, and little sister.
For the longest time, it was just the three women of the house, taking care of one another, supporting each other, and all together holding down the fort while “the captain” was off saving the world. Ever since they were little, Olivia found herself taking care of Elizabeth, her baby sister. The two of them were extremely close, and while their mother was away at work, it was her job to take care of her Liz. So, it really wasn’t a surprise when she decided to become a nurse years later, a role that gave her the opportunity to take care of other people in much the same way as she did with her sister.
About a year and a half ago, the Montgomery household got a call, a call that said her father had been shot and hospitalized on a case involving an American senator getting murdered in Sydney Australia. A shaken up Olivia, along with her mother and sister, traveled to Sydney to see him. When they arrived, sure enough, there was her father, laying in a hospital bed. Fortunately, he was fine, and was expected to make a full recovery, but that wasn’t the worst of it. While getting a drink in the waiting room, Olivia noticed her father’s partner, crying in a chair to herself. Ever the nurturing soul, even in the face of such a disaster, she made her way to the woman and asked what the problem was. She had gone on and on about how the accident had been her fault, how she had been the one who had been distracting him. Obviously, Liv figured her hysterical, and tried her best to calm her down, and reassure her that the family didn’t blame her. It wasn’t until she let slip what they had been arguing about. Apparently, she had been in love with her father, and her father had claimed to be in love with her. She asked him to leave his family for her, but he refused. The argument interfered with their case, and he’d ended up getting shot.
Olivia was shocked, and for the most part speechless. She had no idea what to think. So, when her sister and her mother had turned in for the night, she questioned him about it, all of it. To her horror, he didn’t deny it, he simply sat their silent, before bursting into tears. Shock soon turned to anger, and she demanded that he tell her mother. He refused, and Olivia lost it. She fled the hospital and headed straight to the airport. Instead of leaving with the rest of her family the following day, she bought the first ticket out to LA, she couldn’t be around any of it anymore. Little did she know, that could very well have been the last time she ever saw them.
