Personality: Nathan is very vocal, he more or less wont leave any of his opinions unheard, but won’t state them out loud to a crowd, he’s more likely to say it to one or two people afterwards. He does know when he needs to be serious, but when he can avoid serious situations he will. Oddly enough, he seems to always have good advice and gets along with almost everyone. He has a huge sense of humor and is typically a “free agent” doing things on his own time, unless it is necessary to do otherwise.
Despite his seemingly immature attitude, he is very smart. He likes to speak in metaphors and riddles just for the sake of his own amusement. He often references movies, having a passion for them. He isn’t aggressive, but he won’t hesitate to stick up for himself. He is more or less free willed, he doesn’t let much bother him and tends to do things in unconventional ways, and sometimes…just because he wants to. He is very open minded and not too shallow, but can be somewhat cynical and hypocritical, as well as sarcastic.
Nathan can, unfortunately, be a jerk especially when he is in a bad mood…which since he’s human, does happen. He often views the world in different ways than others, and sometimes, more time than not, has a cynical and jaded view on people in general. He can also be a bit selfish, his “free willed” activities often take a higher priority than others, in terms of consequences. Some other flaws include him being rash and impulsive, and while he isn’t at all quick tempered he does tend to talk a lot.
Ability: Immunity – The island granted Nathan with a unique immunity that works almost perfectly. Aside from being immune to any viral or bacterial infections and illnesses, gases, and poisons and the like, his body will absorb just about any kind of energy to prevent permanent damage, this includes radiation, electrical, cold air, fire, acid, and other types of energy.There is a downside due to his body nullifying the effects of any energy based effects on his body, he is unable to be healed by anyone with a healing ability, despite his wounds unable to be infected. Consequently, this also means any attempt to drain his energy will not work, nor can he get high or drunk. This ability protects him from energy based attacks, not physical or kinetic. Any blunt attacks, a punch, a kick, a stab, or a gun shot will harm him, seeing as he does not have a regenerative ability nor does he posses any super human abilities. Also, despite his body being able to protect against energy based attacks, the force of the attack will still be present, and he will still feel the pain as if it were doing permanent damage.
History: Nathan was born in Los Angeles, California to an upper middle class family, his father was a citizen of Australia and the family moved to the country in support of his business. During Nathan’s youth, he often got into trouble, but it was more fun to him than trouble. He hadn’t thought much about the effects his actions had on his family, specifically his father’s place in the business. When Nathan was 13 his father was diagnosed with cancer. Nathan was often distracting himself with fun and mischief to avoid facing the reality of his father’s illness, until his death two years later.
His mother sunk into depression, and even more so when Nathan got into drugs at the age of 17, trying to cope with his father’s loss and the deteriorating of his mother, and having overdosed finally saw the effects his addiction placed on his already feeble mother. He admitted himself into rehab at 21, and went two years sober. Soon after, his mother died of heart failure and was cremated.
With her ashes, Nathan boarded a plan back to Los Angeles to meet up with his aunt, to have a proper ceremony for his mother, but needless to say, he wasn’t going to show up anytime soon…
